The Torch is one of the five Basic cards used in Thunderstone and functions primarily as a light source. It was added, unchanged, to Thunderstone Advance.
Each Torch grants 1 point of light for use in removing the light penalty/darkness of a dungeon rank.
It also acts a gold source, granting the player 2 gold to use when visiting the Village on their turn.
Torches may be purchased in the Village for 3 gold.
When a torch is destroyed, it is returned to the village stack, and may be obtained again for use in the same game. However, if the torch is destroyed while in the village stack, it is removed from the game, as normal.
